my two cents

Hey, any change in life's rhythms causes one to pause and think, I felt much the same way with my last period. Still have a long ways to recover from surgery, postop 5d SAH.

Just a couple of silly pieces of advice: get a haircut right before surgery because you might not be in the mood to do it for a while afterwards, clean the spiderwebs on the ceiling above the bed if seeing them drive you crazy because you're gonna be spending some time there resting.

Some not so silly pieces of advice: if a spouse or partner is going to be helping you out, make sure he reads all the postop instructions given to you. That way you're not the bad guy dictator. Work out and get in the best shape possible before surgery, especially on leg muscles, you're going to be using them when you can't bend down. Work on your arm muscles because you're going to need them to help pull yourself around.

Good luck to you!
