2nd day back at work.

Went back to work today. If you all remember last thursday I went to work and worked a full day it was my 3 wks post op..... Lets just say Friday I slept all day. My Supervisor was a , you know what about it. Oh well. Anyhow went to work today and am doing okay.
I wish I could of taken more time off.
I guess why I am writing is to let you all know, do not try to rush it and if you don't have to go back to work, just take care of yourself.
My surgery was on 5/26 and it gets easier every day.
My son is in Seattle and my Fiance is in Arizona. I am feeling sorry for myself and am a little weepy. I can't sleep and just wanted to touch base with my sisters.
Thanks for listening
Nikki

2nd day back at work.

Hey Nikki, it takes a good couple of weeks working full time again before its gets easier. Actually it took me a month of being back at work before I could go home without feeling shattered. Don't rush things and take care of yourself. Try and surround youself with caring friends and family if you can. I found this was of great comfort during the early stages of healing. Good luck

2nd day back at work.

Hi, First of all glad your Hysterectomy went so well. I am amazed that your back to work 3 weeks in. I had a TVT in May and was out of work a week. My first week back to work was exhausting and I have a desk job. Remember to take care of yourself at work and remind that boss (if need be)of your's that you just had major surgery and realistically you should still be at home. Take good care and stay well! 2nd day back at work.

I went to the Doc yesterday and he is not releasing me til the 8 week mark! Yeah for me! He doesn't want me lifting anything heavier than 25 pounds for 2 months and we do alot of lifting at work. I am still on the 10 pound restriction til 6 weeks.
I have really been enjoying my time off, am getting paid, and I am thankful I get all this time!
Hope all of you that had to back to work "early" get accustomed to it real quick and feel better soon. Tiffany

Wait til you hear this...

I work in Social Services. I peer Counsel, Type restraining Orders, file the paper work with the court, and go to their court date with my client.

NOT ALL OF OUR CLIENTS ARE TRUTHFUL
This one is on drugs and I have been trying to work with her since the end of April. Because of the drugs she does she can not follow easy direction.
To make a long story short she almost ATTACKED me. I wasn't scared for me just for my incision site. OMG if that would of split open. So anyhow I wish I had more time off. I am soooooooooooooooo tired.
Thanks for listening to me vent...

Nikki! This is the best place to feel weepy and to feel sorry for yourself. We've all been through the same emotions. Hope you feel better soon... Take care.
