Hi July 13th I'm going to the gyn. they are going to look into my uterus .... I had a pelvic ultra sound and it showed thickened walls and a huge lump of some sort.... my EMB came back normal ...... I had to postpone doing anything as I am in a course on line and it started before all these exams were done.... I told the MD that if it is anything bad to just book the surgery for the next Monday and take the darn thing out.... was this wise? I've suffered from horrible cramps(only vicoden works) and heavy bleeding and huge clots for the last 6 months, I would miss at least 2 or3 days of work because the bleeding was so heavy and the cramps so bad .....am I making the right choice?

I had a prior ultrasound that showed a very thickend edometrial stipe despite being on BC pills. I then had a saline infused sonogram that showed I had a polyp in the middle of my uterus... they can cause heavy bleeding. I had a D&C to remove it and the found multiple small ones too. Unfortunately, it did not relieve my heavy bleeding. I also had adenomyosis... and am now 12 days post op TAH and feeling pretty well! I hope you recieve good news!

I am glad you found this site~lotsa great ladies here to give you advise, support and letcha vent!!
I can't tell you if you are making the right choice~only you know that. I know that my decision is right for me because I want control of my life back and am truely sick of saying to people "I will have to see what my pain is like..." when asked to do something.
I am also tired of living in a fog from pain meds and being cranky (understatement) to everyone I know.
Just know that you have ladies out there that have been there or are ladies in waiting ready to get the pain in the past and on with their lives.
Keep in touch and just know you are in my prayers!!

For me... after two years of irregular bleeding, clotting and cramping I finally agreed with my dr and stopped fighting it and had my TAH. The last four months or so prior to my surgery I was bleeding 31 days a month even on Provera.

Only you know if you made the right decision for you. I know I am relieved to have the problem behind me. But if you are as tired as I was, then you prob made the right decision.

Hang in there and let us know how you are doing. Hugs.
