DaVinci with mini- laparotomy (overweight and worried about complications)

Hi all,

At my last visit, my doctor and I discussed the type of surgery I will have. He said that because of the size of my uterus, he will be doing most of the surgery minimally invasive, but at the end will make a smallish incision to pull out my uterus and 10 cm fibroid. He said recovery will still be relatively easy, as he wont have to pack my bowels or anything. He would be doing it this way because of the moratorium on the morcellator.

Has anyone else had similar? How did it go? I'm VERY overweight and worried abkut complications.
