Prolapse and periods

Periods with a severe prolapse more painful than usual?
I know there are not many of us prolapse ladies out there- and mine dropped to a stage 3 less than a month ago. Is it normal for them to be more painful because of the pressure of the vagina squeezing the uterus? It has been trying to start for a few days now, and it is definantly here now. This is the first cycle with it this low and I am not sure if it is just me or if this is "par for the course". --- Due to have this thing vaginally removed first part of July!!!

prolapse periods painful

Yes, I agree! My periods have gotten progressively worse. The cramps I have are sooooo low. I think it is the full uterus that is heavier and pulls more on the ligaments. I have no back cramps at all ,but I have been getting diarrhea with the beginning of every period. I am celebrating right now because this will be my last period ever. I am scheduled for my vag hyst June 11th. This period is a doozy ,but it will all be over soon.

Prolapse and periods

Sheri:
I also have a prolapsed uterus. My last period (EVER) was terrible!! I am six days past this last period and the pain is still very very intense! I have stopped bleeding but I still have pain very low in my belly as well as low in my back. I feel so yucky, I'm looking forward to this all being over (TAO BSO scheduled for 5/29). For the past two years, my periods have gotten so bad that I have to stay in bed at least one day! My quality of life has not been good. It seems as though I suffer for at least two weeks out of every month.
