I missed you all

Hi Ladies,
Its been almost 6 long months since my TAH/BSO. I havent been on the site for a couple months, so many things have been going on. I missed reading the messages and helping out with what little i know when i can.
Im amazed at how good I feel from the hysterectomy part of my life. Oh i cant even tell you how much better I feel since having the TAH/BSO. Oh sure I still have all kinds of "things" going on medically but to not have the raging hormones, the constant bleeding, the severe anemia, the most awful cramps and the general feeling of ICK.......Im Blessed! Having the hysterectomy for me was a life changing and life giving surgery. I did not know there was so many things I didnt do because I always felt so tired and always felt so ICK from all the problems from my uterus and ovaries.
To me having the minor problems (for me they are minor compared to how i felt before surgery) the hormone issues and the vaginal atrophy are wonderful trade offs for not having that sick uterus inside me anymore. its nothing to take this pill and to put in a vaginal cream which takes about a min a day compared to wearing diapers and feeling disgusting all day. I love my new life and to me it is a new life.... I dont think ive ever been this person before... I feel FREE for the first time in my life.
I know how hard it is deciding to have surgery, then having it and all the problems after.... dont lose hope, time and taking care of yourself makes most of the problems better so if you are having a rough time of it, dont lose hope, it does get better.
To all the ladies that helped me and to all the ones that need help, I thank you all for being here.

Hi Julia,
Have you told your hysterstory on the pre-op page? It seems like you ought to. I would have been greatly encouraged by your story. I know I read all of them before making up my mind.
I'm so glad to hear you're feeling so good. It does give me hope!
