July 10th Ladies, How are we doing??

Well, tomorrow marks 3 weeks for us! I am feeling much better - mornings are the best time for me. I am slowly starting to feel amourous, but I know that I still have 3 weeks. My Dr. said that we could have sex at 4 weeks though? DH wants to wait until 6 weeks, and I can't blame him, but argggg

I'm still moving slowly, but overall, much better than 2 weeks ago, that's for sure! DH is going to be gone Thursday - Sat., so I am preparing for frozen food dinners and gently walking the dog. Bending over is not fun, I get off balance and it hurts, so I don't do it.

So, how are the rest of ya'll??

I'm celebrating 3 wks tomorrow! We made it! Doing well;but have hit the itchy stage. I have way more energy than last week, but still tire out after a short trip to civilization. I have to start preparing my classroom tomorrow, but DD will be there to do the heavy work. Hang in there!

July 10th Ladies, How are we doing??

I enjoy reading these threads. I will be 2 weeks this Tuesday. Everyone keeps telling me that by week 3 you feel alot better. I can't wait. I am still very sore and slow and started bleeding yesterday. But dr on call said just wait to see my dr tomorrow. she said i might have pulled a stich. Don't know how, I am doing next to nothing.

Glad to hear you are all feeling a little better!

Keep up the good work.

July 10th Ladies, How are we doing??

My surgery was July 11th, but close enough...

I'm feeling really good but I have to say, the improvement I was seeing day to day, early on, has slowed to a crawl. I've started bleeding, so my family yells at me when I get up. I get really tired fast when I get out of bed, and I'm not sure if that's cuz of the surgery or because Im not being active enough and I'm just loosing stamina. I've also noticed I'm kinda grouchy...lol, again, I'm not sure if it's because I'm tired of laying around while my house goes to @$*&%, or it's my hormones.... so far I've managed to hide my emotions but I'm afraid if it gets any worse I might turn into the exorcist woman and start yelling, crying... I'm thinking of making a list of things to clean for each member of my family... they'll whine, but it's better than the alternative...DEVIL WOMAN!!

July 10th Ladies, How are we doing??

My date was July 11 also. I am doing great. I am able to get out of bed and out of chairs easily. I am taking 30 minute walks outside - the same length of time as before my surgery, although I move more slowly so I don't go as far. I am doing laundry now for the first time.

I am still gassy but not constipated; I am taking colace twice a day, eating Fiber One for breakfast with 2 ounces of prune juice.

I have not had any bleeding yet.

DH and I started going places last Saturday (a week ago). I have been to two afternoon outdoor concerts where I sat for 2 hours. I have been out to eat dinner twice and lunch once. AND, most importantly, I have been CLOTHES SHOPPING 3 times

My first post op check is Wednesday, and I am hoping to be cleared for driving and a little more physical activity.

I have to start in my classroom soon as well - we don't go back until Sept. 5, but I want to get in while it's cool in the mornings. I have 2 students that are coming to help with any lifting - I bribed them with Pizza and their mothers told them to come help their poor teacher after surgery (both of their mom's had hysterectomies - so they understand)

I have to officially start driving next week since DH will be gone for a conference. It will be good to get out on my own, just in small doses!

July 10th Ladies, How are we doing??

I am 3 weeks tomorrow and feeling great. Fatigue is much improved and pain is basically gone. My only major complaint is ACNE!! My face ia breaking out like I'm a teenager. I had a TVH and kept my ovaries. Hope this gets better soon. Wishing everyone some much deserved R&R.

July 10th Ladies, How are we doing??

One day off from you but feeling pretty darn good. Occassional shooting pains and incision pulls but I try to remind myself it's just nerve endings healing. Got to get in a swimming pool today and float around which felt great. Also, my partner and I went to the zoo yesterday and she just pushed me around in one of their wheelchairs. I walked some and used it for balance and to lean on. This was a great idea for early- in-recovery princesses that just need to get out of the house. Of course I came home and needed a 3 hour nap and still slept 8 hours last night but it really boosted my spirits. Hoping the fatigue factor gets better this week as I have to go back to work half-days in just 9 more days Overall though, I am so grateful that nothing has been nearly as bad as I had worried beforehand

July 10th Ladies, How are we doing??

I will be 3 weeks tomorrow and I must say I am back to my old self. I had a LSH and I kept my ovaries and cervix. I fit in my old clothes and I don't get tired so easily anymore. I still take a nap everyday, but overall I'm doing really good. Hang in there, things will get better for all of the July 10th princesses that having a rough go of it right now.
