Smile - Pillows Pillows Pillows! Pillows Pillows Pillows!

The absolute best tip I got from among all the wonderful hints on this site was this: Take your own very very soft pillows. I took two feather pillows and a soft toss blanket that I kept on our couch for covering chilled feet in the winter. Both of these items were godsends for me. The nurses loved the pillows and they always gave them an extra squeeze as they fluffed them up for me. and having them in my own pillowcases, they smelled like home. The blanket was very useful as we rolled it up and tucked it in behind me back so I could sorta sleep on my side a bit. The pillows at the hospital are generally not soft, and are covered in hard hospital pillowcases. Take your own and even though it was a little embarrasing walking in to admission with it all, I am so very glad I did it. It was incredibly comforting when I needed som comfort. I am four days post op and starting to finally feel a bit more like myself. I wish you all a soft bed and a soft gentle recovery.
