painful lump

Hi I'm new to this site. I had my surgery May 5th went to the doctor 2 weeks ago he said everything was fine but would see me back in 6 months, I now have a painful lump in the middle of my surgery site is this normal?

Hello and welcome. I think calling your doctor would be best since it is painful.

I would be calling the doctor..it could be nothing, but play it safe and get it checked out.

Thanks for your help, planning on calling the doctor in the morning.I had a pretty ruff surgery, took him 6 hours to get everything all fixed up I had lots of scare tissuse from having 2 c-seactions in years past which caused lots of problems with my bowel and kidney,I have a stent in my left kidney to keep it working. I'm feeling better but still not myself.

Just an idea, but why not call the ans. serv. tonight and get a nurse to call you back? No harm in it.

it may either be a hernia or a hematoma, you better call your doctor
