You might try asking for a script for Diflucan. The creams often do not do the trick.

Are you certain it's a yeast infection? It could be bacterial vaginosis or some other infection. You should ask your doc to check. As for being cleared for sex, it is all up to your doc, and varies widely depending on what work you had done and how fast you heal as well as any complications you might have. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Re: YEAST INFECTION and NO SEX - ANYONE??

Hey!
Omg!!! I feel ya! I'm just 4 weeks post op Friday. All last week I was itchy, burning, burning with urination also. Plus I know TMI but I had odor! So my doctor prescribed the metronidazole gel for 5 days and after the first treatment I didn't smell it anymore! Thank goodness! So I thought I was good well I woke up and the bloody discharge I've had since surgery was clumpy! So at this point I'm convinced I have a yeast inf. So I remembered I had a prescribed Diflucan and I took it and an hour later I had so much relief!!!! So call your doctor and see if you can get some relief!!! Good luck!
And as far as sex I can't either, but check and see if you can have outer sex? It's better than nothing at this point! Believe me we all know how your feeling! Best wishes!!!

YEAST INFECTION and NO SEX - ANYONE??

Hello Hollie,

Forgive my ignorance but can u please tell me what this outercourse is? I keep hearing sisters talk about it but am not sure. Would this be the same as grinding and body closeness without penetration? Please help beacause I really want to know and not miss out on any chances for hubby. Thanks

Re: YEAST INFECTION and NO SEX - ANYONE??

I'm 6 weeks today, and while I thankfully haven't had the yeast, I still can't have sex (per doc orders yesterday) for two more weeks, I can however take hot baths which is music to my ears. Lol.

I would definitely call your doc so they can run tests to see exactly what your dealing with so they can get you on a proper treatment plan to get it cleared up so you can finally be able to enjoy time with your husband. Hugs!
