Any suggestions about resuming belly dancing?

Hey I am a bellydancer too, I was so happy to see a post from another dancer. I am going to be off work 8 weeks because I am a physical therapist, and I told my dance troop that I probably wouln't be able to join them for 8 weeks as well. I don't want to get too far out of practice. Have u gone back to dance yet. I think I might start exercising by doing isometrics to start with when I am able. Any ideas on how to safely start back would be appreciated.

I don't belly dance ( would like to try but can't find lessons nearby ). I do dance, mostly clogging. I was released to resume normal activities at 6 weeks post-op but had to wait an extra week for clogging. Then I eased back into it, stopping to rest when needed.
I would take your dr's advice about when you can start back & listen to your own body. If it hurts, ease off for awhile.
