Problems with inversion during da Vinci hysterectomy surgery?
Hi ladies,
I'm scheduled for a da Vinci hysterectomy on Apr 4. I have a hiatal hernia (taking Zantac) and chronic congestion, and am concerned about the effect inversion will have on those conditions. Discussed at length with my doctor, and he doesn't think they'll be an issue. Would love to hear from any of you ladies who had this surgery and similar health concerns. How did it go?
Thanks!

Re: Problems with inversion during da Vinci surgery?
I have a "moderate" hiatal hernia(according to my tests) and have been on Zantac, Prilosec and now Nexium (for several years). I made sure the anesthesiologist heard all my health concerns before my davinci surgery. This did not seem to be an issue and I had no problems because of it.
Hugs and well wishes on your upcoming surgery.

Re: Problems with inversion during da Vinci surgery?
I have a pretty significant hiatal hernia. My BSO was a davinci procedure. They told me to take my med that morning with a sip of water. I had no problems post op as far as gastric issues or reflux.
