Tomorrow is nearly here

Well tomorrow is the BIG day, I have been fighting for nearly five years for this and now I'm a mixed bag of emotions, wanna cry, tired, apprehensive and unsure. I have to be in hospital for 7am in the morning I don't know what time my op is but I do hope I don't have to wait too long, ARGH!!!

Re: Tomorrow is nearly here

Try to get out today and do something enjoyable. Hopefully your early arrival means you're the first surgery. Tomorrow will be the start of your healing journey. Cheers

Re: Tomorrow is nearly here

As a fellow TLH-er... I know you you are going to do just fine! Just be PATIENT with the recovery. With TLH you don't really feel like you had surgery because your external incision are so tiny and many of us don't even feel pain at all in the vaginal/groin area (which is odd.. I would have expected to feel that)..... but it's important to remember that you just had major surgery - visible or not. And of course, you will feel soreness in your abdomen for a few days.. I felt sore like I had done 500 sit ups. You will have a big incision inside that must heal .. and it will zap a lot of your energy for weeks. Just take it easy and don't overdo.

The best thing I did post surgery wast to get on my recovery thread with other women who had surgery my same week. (When you are out of surgery and feeling up to it.. Go to the blue bar above, go to "quick links" and drop down to "your surgery thread.") It's sooooo nice to chat with women who are in the exact same boat at the exact same time. I am pretty sure it saved my sanity. If you are unsure about something that is happening to you, just get on your thread and see if others are experiencing the same thing.

Hugs and best wishes for a great recovery!

Re: Tomorrow is nearly here

Best wishes! I'll see you on the other side in your recovery thread! I had a mixture of emotions the night before I ended up putting all my thoughts in a journal which seemed to calm me somewhat
