TVH Strange leg feeling?

I am 1 week post op & my upper right thigh feels funny. In the beginning, it was numb. I could dig my nail in & not feel it. Now it hurts when I walk. Feels bruised inside, yet can still not feel my skin. Anyone else have this?

Call your doc! This could be a clot, so please, please seek medical attention right away.

Really? Even if it has been like this since surgery?

I had a DVT at 3 weeks post op, and my only symptom was pain in my inner thigh. It felt more like a pulled muscle. I didn't have any numbness though and my pain didn't start immediately after surgery.

It won't hurt to call your doctor about this though, just to be on the safe side. Hope you feel better soon.

I had a sore calf, felt bruised like you mentioned. I called my doc and he immediately sent me to the er to check for a blood clot. Fortunately I was fine (and aparently clots below the knee are usually too small to detect and usually too small to be dangerous, but clots above the knee can be detected and be dangerous.) You should call your doc right away, if you haven't, just to be safe.
