a few questions.

Working at home is a great way to go. I have my own business, and my office is at home. I'm just past 3 weeks, and have been able to work some. At least if you are at home and need to rest, you just rest, and get back to work when you can. You might not work a half day straight - spread it out a little.

I also didn't have trouble washing my hair. The shampoo holder thingy is a great idea. We have a little shelf, and I never thought about it, but I couldn't have picked up shampoo off the floor for the first few days.

Be sure Mom brings a few good books, or knitting, or whatever. You will want to just lie around resting a lot. I had my grandma-in-law here during all of week two. Had a blast, and was very happy to have her, but it was tiring arguing politics, critiquing TV shows, making tea... I slept for most two days after she left.

If your hair tangles easily, you might get some special detangling conditioner, or have it cut a little. All that lying around is hard on hair. The back of mine is very fine, and tends to turn into mats if I forget to brush it often. Before I headed to the castle I asked my hair guy to cut the part around the nape of my neck *very* short. I usually keep that part around 4-5" long, but cut it to about 1" for the occasion. It's under the rest, and doesn't show anyway, and I haven't had any trouble with tangling.
