What's this drink?

My experience with surgery requiring anesthesia will list instructions for bowel preparation (colon cleansing). I was instructed to use Fleet that you buy at the prescription counter - it's not found on the shelves in the regular aisles. But do so only if your doc advises. Once you take this horribly tasting stuff, you will be visiting the little girl's room a few times at least - make sure you have magazines in there. It's not painful, just a pain doing it since you can't eat after taking it. So be sure to have your favorite meal prior to doing it.

Question, I also have to do bowel prep (one week from today). I sent a note to the dr on fri.asking about taking the pills instead of mag. cit. (you need a prescription for them) I had a colonoscopy in jan...I did not have to drink anything but got to take a set of pills...it was about 30 horse pills in 60-90 minutes. They were huge and I took 4-6 at a time, but so worth it. Did the potty thing for awhile but no pain or discomfort "anywhere". The man next to me had "the drink" and was complaining of a really sore "bottom" Mine was fine.. If anyone knows the name of them please forward it to me, otherwise I will call the Gastro Dr. back if the Gyn gives these pills the OK. I sure hope so! Just thought I would give you a heads up to ask your DR about this option...If its alright for a colonoscopy I would shure hope it's good enough for a hysterectomy.
