Feeling Sad

LAVH LSO Dec.10th

Not feeling so happy tonight. I have come to the realization that I have rid my body of great pleasure. I'm starting to regret having my uterus removed knowing I will not have the same orgasms again. I do not know what to expect when I resume my sex life????? What level of orgasm will be there? Multiples??

I hope I have not made anyone uncomfortable. I do not like the not knowing. thank you all for listening.

Re: Feeling Sad

Well, it seems you are grieving something that you don't even know if you lost yet. But, if you're anything like me, it's so good to voice these thoughts and get them out in the open. Then they can stop rattling around in your head. ;-)

Almost all women here had a serious reason for a hysterectomy, ranging from cancer to pain/bleeding that wouldn't allow us to even leave the house to many other things. But I think none of us would have risked anything to do with our sex life if we didn't need that surgery more than being ensured our quality of orgasms wouldn't change.

Having said that, most women here that I've seen over the last year
say that given time (sometimes even months) that their sex life is either just as good or better. So the odds that you are one of the very few that doesn't have as good of a sex life are not very good. ;-)

Also...the more you get worked up or anxious about it, the more likely it will be that you will block your own orgasm or intensity of the orgasm. So just don't put too much pressure on yourself, if you can help it. Try not to expect much the first few times or so. The more you expect, the more you'll just block the orgasm anyway.

Hang in there. I know the unknown is scary.
