Issues when resuming intercourse

Help
Just when I thought everything was going good BAM, I had sex last night and it was the 4th time since I was released and after and I wiped I had a pink discharge??? This morning it was still there the couple times I wiped, but now I don't see anything??? Should I be concerned and where did it come from. It looks the same like the discharge I was have the first 2 days at the hospital...I hate this what should I do?

Re: Still in pain

Hi Y777 - I read somewhere that this can happen (they were actually talking about the first time) and it said if it happens to abstain for a week and try again and if it happens again consult the dr. It also said lots of K-Y whether you think you need it or not. Also (my opinion coming from a dr visit many years ago) - there is sex and then there is SEX - it may be you were just going too hard and irritated something (cuz as the dr said, "You are causing friction and too much friction can be a bad thing too.")
I think the fact that it is gone probably means it's ok but talk to your dr if you are worried - otherwise wait a bit then try again.
I had sex for the first time last Saturday and boy I was so caught between scared and wanting! Everything was taken slow, with K-Y, and everything was ok - except when I wasn't nervous I wanted to laugh because I thought we were acting more like two teenage first timers than a 30 year married couple!

Did you say you worked in an office? So you are sitting down most of the day? So glad that is going well.

Re: Still in pain

y777-i think u should contact dr to be on safe-side.the only time i had a discharge was @7 weeks, when i tore vaginal muscle, and it wasnt from wild kinky sex but from carrying wood inside.it was a brownish tinge to it and that was it.

Re: Issues when resuming intercourse

Some bleeding and spotting can occur when resuming intercourse for a number of reasons. Your vaginal cuff could get irritated, you may be experiencing some vaginal dryness, newly healed tissues may have been a bit tender, etc.

If you have concerns, don't hesitate to touch base with your doctor to make sure all is well.

Re: Issues when resuming intercourse

It can be scary since we have no sense of normal with our experiences. I was right there myself. I agree with everyone regarding checking with your doctor. Looking back I can now laugh and roll my eyes, when I asked about this my experience was different from our Sister's; my doctor replied "you just had surgery you know". I was well aware I was concerned if it was normal. I had this off and on for the first 3 months Good luck and get some piece of mind - you may feel better knowing.
