I am scared but have to have a hysterectomyat 29 yrs old!

I am really getting nervious now! I went to see my Gyno yesterday he wants me to be operated in 2 weeks. Seems he thinks my problem may be Cervical Cancer, Endometriosis and Fibroids. I am having a complete Hysterectomy every thing is going.. as well I also have to get a bladder lift, it seems my bladder dropped after my 3rd child. (I did not know this)I was not supposed to have the surgery until Jan or Feb 04..I am so frusterated..and scard! I went to book my surgery date after leaving the Dr's office and was told that there are no beds available until November 10th 04. I live near Gatineau, Quebec. Has any of you experianced this? Any one have the same problems? what are the symptoms of Cervical Cancer? (my dads sister died of this at 43, there is no cervical cancer on my moms side, does that better my odds of not having it?) I am 29 years old and in Menapause hot flashes, mood swings the whole lot! Been this way for about a yr now. I have 3 young kids ages 10, 8 and almost 3, I do not want to leave them yet Cancer is a very scary word! I was dignosed with Endometriosis at 17 years old and have had lots of problems with cysts on my overies. Now i am bleeding 2 to 3 weeks out of the month, My own mother is 54 and still is not menopausal yet? I also have high blood pressure (no wonder) I was told by the Gyno that I need to be on meds for it, i am going on Tuesday to see family Dr, does any one know if high blood pressure would stop them from doing the surgery? How upsetting that you have to wait for your surgery, now that you have determined that it is the right course for you.

I don't know much about cervical cancer myself, but we do have a cancer forum here, and you may want to take your questions to those ladies if you don't get enough replies here.

I did a search on the net and found that there are often no symptoms of cervical cancer (one of the reasons it is important to have the Pap tests).... but some symptoms can be bleeding in between periods, pain during or after sex.

there are many stages of cancer, and if your dr isn't booking you for emergency treatment, I would think this is a good sign and you have caught the cancer at a very early stage.

I am sure any BP trouble you have is something the dr needs to know about. Since many people have this problem, there are surely ways to deal with it for surgery.
