Day Two Post OP

I actually slept good last night , and woke up feeling better today. Thought this was a good sign and that I was ready to do much more . I am not one to just sit and lay around. But when I got up for my short walk I was tired and then felt a little down.
I have been eating well, thanks to my husband for taking such good care of me. I cant count how many bottled waters I have gone through, for I feel so dehydrated( How Normal Is This )

I know what I am not supposed to be doing, but how much is too soon?? I have plenty of books to read and now that I joined this site its another thing to do It just im feeling a little down and really havent expressed that part much to my husband. Per Dr's orders have to wait two weeks to start my HRT. How much will that help??

Re: Day Two Post OP

The first week, most of us feel that way, like even getting up to go potty is exhausting. It will get better! DO NOT rush to get back to normal, I know that's easier said than done. Just because you feel like you may be able to, doesn't mean your body is ready. Listen to your body, especially during the early weeks. I am halfway through my third week and I have days where I wake up and know it's going to be a "down" day.

Anesthesia makes you feel dehydrated, keep drinking that water, it will help with BMs and voiding as well as healing and getting the "ickies" out of your body.

Enjoy your books, lurk the site, and be grateful you have a hubby to help you. Pamper the princess.

Re: Day Two Post OP

It has been so hard to listen to my body, when my mind is going in different directions. Thanks to this site for others who fully understand. . Even though we heal in our own time and have different emontions this is easier to express myself on here, then to talk to a close friend who hasn't been through this !
I went into this surgery to be able to come out pain free, but what gets me down the most is know I didnt get to becomea mommy and that is what hurts me the most

I have been drinking alot , but fighting off the sleep, and spacing out my pain meds to at least 9hrs instead of the 6-8
Trying to be strong is not easy when emontially I dont feel that way .

Just wish I could re-wind and do things differently ! But Know there cant be turning back, just moving ahead and looking forward to a good recovery !!
