Sore after car accident

It's been 2 1/2 months since my surgery. This weekend I was in a car accident. The seat belt tightend up on my stomach. It feels like I had my surgery just a couple of weeks ago now. I was feeling fine, now I don't feel so great. Any suggestions??? Has this happened to any of you sisters?

Thanks for listening......

Sore after car accident

Hi Kristanca;

I'm sorry you were in a car accident. I hope everyone involved was okay!

Did you go to the ER or your doctor to get checked?

You still have a lot of healing to do inside, it can take up to one year to fully heal!

I think if you are experiencing pain you should at least call your doctor and see what s/he thinks!

Best wishes to you!

Sore after car accident

Hi Kristanca,

I'm sorry about your car accident. I think that the most important thing is that you are medically evaluated professionally. If you didn't go the hospital after your accident, the please, at the least, see your GP to be looked over. If you were evaluated by a Dr., then of course, following the Dr's. recommendations are best.

I have been in minor car accidents in the past, though never so soon after surgery as you. But I do remember just how sore every muscle in my body could feel. The impact of the accident and the stress of the seatbelt doing it's job can leave you sore from your chest/shoulders all the way to your abdomen. Rest and analgesics, such as Tylenol or ibuprofen, helped me.

I hope that you are feeling much better soon!

Best wishes and gentle s
