Not sure about movie theater

Hi:
I am starting my 3rd week of recovery and I do feel good-twinges here and there and the proverbial left side pain. My DH really wants to go see a movie with me and I want to go (cabin fever) but i'm afraid sitting in a movie theater chair for 2 hours may be hard on my internal stitches and healing? Am I being concerned for no reason? I have been in a slightly to fully reclined position since the surgery...Has anyone else gone to a movie 2-3 weeks into their recovery and did it set you back?
Please let me know-feling good but afraid of setbacks and adhesions...

Not sure about movie theater

I don't go to the movie theatre for this simple reason- I think the seats are SO uncomfy. (We are big fans of the DVD rentals via internet). I've heard that the seats at those stadium-theatre places are very comfy. That said, I think if you have been in a reclined position since surgery, you may not yet be ready. Can you do a little digging online and find a movie that is only about 90 min? Also, go in knowing that you may be leaving (maybe better to go a day show instead of a night show since they are so expensive!!)
Good luck!! If you do go, I hope it is a good experience~

Not sure about movie theater

I am back to work after 8 weeks at my office job and am still sitting on a soft pillow. I was always reclined while I was at home and it put a strain on my swelly belly to sit so upright. I would suggest to take a couple of small pillows with you (take a big purse!) -- one to sit on and one for your back. Good Luck and enjoy the time out of the house!

I have a movie plan for next week myself, cause it is my last week before going back to work. Going by myself and I am getting popcorn too, because I know for a fact that many princesses love popcorn.
