Ovaries shrinking 7mo post op

Hi everyone, it's been a while let me just do a quick back story.

I had my hysterectomy(kept both ovaries) back in May, and I had some hot flashes after my surgery and the doctor assured me it was in my head since I kept my ovaries. I was in quite a bit of pain and he pretty much ignored me. Then after about 2 months I was better than ever. I felt great. Now later in September I began to have a strange pain just below my belly button and to the right. I went to my regular doctor not thinking it was anything gynecological. They suggested it was a gallbladder issue.

I had multiple tests done, hida-scan, ultrasound on my gallbladder, colonoscopy, urine tests and blood tests. Everything was in the normal range, so here it is months later and I thought the pain was subsiding a little. I was able to eat again(the pain was so unbearable it made me sick and unable to eat). Until today, I woke up from this horrible pain that I would say was similar to a kidney stone or early child labor pains. Knowing that I had neither my husband rushed me to the ER. They did a ct scan there and found that my ovaries have shrank(Shrunk?), and that I have water in my pelvis. The ER doctor suggested that I get in to see my OBGYN asap.

I had NO idea that a hysterectomy would cause this and that it could cause this kind of pain. Anyone ever deal with this kind of thing post op?
