TAH 4 weeks post hysterectomy - sensitivity around belly button

Hi,

Just wondering whether others have experienced the same as me/is it normal... I find the exterior skin around and below my belly button to be quite sensitive/painful. Even at this point where most everything else is finally beginning to feel 'normal' and the pain has really dialled down, when it hurts it hurts THERE. I find this a bit odd as it's not around any of my incisions (my surgery began as a TLH and finished as a TAH). I've read some posts where people have referenced similar pain and attributed it to the cuff, which I don't think this is because this is right at the surface not deeper inside. FTR I'm not in great pain or experiencing any new pain, just curious why it hurts there as that area didn't seem to be involved...

Also, when I put an ice pack on that part of my belly I have to note the time as I can't feel it and have nearly given myself frostbite (not the cause of the pain, only been using ice for a week or so...) Thoughts?
