I am a princess!

Hi Ladies: Just got home from the castle today. I think I did really well and hope my recovery continues to go smoothly. My dr said my fibroid was on the back of my uterus and almost as big as the uterus and she also took my right ovary. She said the ovary was large and suspicious looking with lots of veins and cysts....yuck! Dr said they tested it in the operating room an there was no cancer so that's good to know.

I'll talk more later when I'm up to it. But I want to say what all the other ladies have said...the waiting is the worst part! I was out before I knew it and awake before I knew it and didn't have a bit of trouble. I did have a little bit of a sick tummy the first food they brought to me, but after that little episode everything has been fine.

Back to my pampering!!

Oh Aimster, it's so good to hear from you! I'm glad your surgery went well. Isn't that relief that it's over the best feeling? Take good care of yourself and please don't push yourself.

I am a princess!

SO glad you're back and doing well! I said a prayer for you on your surgery day, very early in the morning. You were probably needing it at that moment!!

Take it easy--I felt so good when I got home that I overdid it and then got exhausted.

I'm doing great now, on day 16. When I first got up this morning to get my daughter off to school I actually forgot I was post-op! I felt so normal! After a few hours of light housecleaning, I'm needing to get back to my needlework on the recliner, though!

Again, so glad it all went well (your stuff sounds a lot like mine, but I had everything out because of adhesions).

I am a princess!

Welcome home! Now be a good princess and remember your training: rest, drink lots of water, rest, take short walks around the house, and rest.

We’ll look for your castle story on the “Princesses Tell Their Stories” forum, and all further surgery / recovery updates on the PostOp forum.

Best wishes for a smooth, uneventful recovery.
