2 weeks away from da Vinci (kids mentioned)

I am 2 weeks away from my da Vinci hysterectomy and I am having a lot of anxiety. I have researched and talked to friends that have had it done, and in my heart I believe everything will be fine. However, my mind keeps drifting to what could happen. It's all the "what if's" that are freaking me out and the recovery. I have 4 kids ages 9 and under and I worry about being able to keep up. If I'm already this anxious now, how am I going to make it the next 2 weeks??!!!

Im 2 wks pre op TLH and endo excision. I have 3 kids ages 8, 4, 17 mos so I probably share the same concerns. I just hung up with a friend of mine telling her how preparation for this surgery is making me so anxious and overwhelmed. Not to mention the feelings regarding the actual nature of the surgery. Sighs.....

What's worse is that with surgery there is a lot that we cant control, this makes me anxious. So ive focused on what I CAN control. This way I can say "I did all that I can do"...but still, there's A LOT to do.

Its also helpful for me to remember that im doing this for my kids and my family too. I cant tell you how often weve missed school events, time at the park, etc because im in too much pain or too depressed to get out of bed.
