Stopping by now that I'm Post Hysterectomy

Hello from Post Op! I just wanted to stop by for a moment to give warm greetings from post surgery. My surgery was Wednesday morning 3/8 and it is now Friday evening. Everything went much better and hurt much less than I anticipated. Of course I am only a couple of days post-op, but at this point, I feel so good. I've already reduced my meds to only Motrin. I will still need to be careful to avoid any complications, but things look really good.

After reading some stories here, I was really freaked out and truly afraid of some of what may happen. So, #1 thing to remember ... if you read something on this forum (or somewhere else), it doesn't mean it will happen to you. Go into this with a good attitude and you are more likely to make it through it with a good attitude.

Hang in there, so far (at least for me) pre-op was much scarier than post-op has been!

Great advice! I didn't read anything here pre surgery, I was already so scared and may have chickened out. It was a help post op, however. I hope your recovery continues to go smoothly!

I had my surgery yesterday at 3:30 pm, things are going ok. I have extreme lower righ abdominal pain but this is common.
