5 weeks and still having belly pain
I am 5 weeks out and I still have tender belly pain where my shelf belly is just above my insecion. How long does this last alnog with the swelling? I am still swelling like I am 5 months pregnant towards the evening my DH is like darn. And how long does the discharge go on? Last sat I passed a stitch first one I have seen and now I am doing the pale red discharge. Nothing more than a panty liner can handle but I am over it. I want to not have this going on anymore.

5 weeks and still having belly pain
I am sorry for your discomfort. Have you spoke with your dr about your concerns? I had a different surgery and different circumstances so I have no experience to share with you. But I am sending you a !
Best wishes.

5 weeks and still having belly pain
I had my hyst Sept 12 and I still get swelly belly sometimes by the end of the day. I too look preg and feel bad. Its embarrassing for me.
I was told by my urologist that its the healing tissues and the lymph nodes. The lymphatic system heals for a variable period in all of us, some heal quicker than others.
I never had any discharge after the 4th day post op, and I am still having complications, need addition surgury but no bleeding, I would call your dr tomorrow. I do not think bleeding is normal this far out.
Is it because you still have a cervix maybe?
If thats the case you will bleed and have mini periods, or so I have learned on this message board!

no they took my cervix so cant be that I have to go see the doctor on fri so I will find out then. My uro did say that he was concerned that i wasnt healing like he wanted me too so maybe that is it. I wasnt have the light red color till after that stitch came out so maybe that, Hopefully its not something else I will just die. My husband have only been married a year and half and having no sex for the past 2 months has been he!!. Anywhoo thanks for the replies

5 weeks and still having belly pain
Hi,
I had a vertical incision on 9/19/05.
I am still very tender to the left side of my incision.
The right side feels as if I have had nothing done.
Yes, I still get swelling if I am up and about too much. I have found that a snug girdle worn to work-works wonders with both the tenderness and swelling.
Have worked 32 hours in the last 3 days and am actually feeling pretty good
And, I did not have any further vaginal bleeding after 1 day post op.
Sweet Pea
TAH w/BSO. Vertical incision for giant fibroid uterus weighing 1238 gms. 2 cantelope size fibroids removed by myomectomy prior to uterus being removed. Unknown endo, adeno and adhesions found resulting in unplanned BSO. Feeling pretty darn good for 10 weeks post-op.
