2 Weeks Post-Op - No discharge normal??

Hi,

I am 11 weeks Post op for TAH/BSO have had no discharge whatsoever , I think it does depend on what you have had done and the skill of the surgeon?
Hope it stops for you soon,

Take care,

2 Weeks Post-Op - No discharge normal??

Cool! I had just read so many posts of those that were having it, I started wondering if something was wrong with me because I wasn't. Hey, no complaints here! I just hope it stays that way and I won't ever have to worry about it again!
Thanks to all who replied, I feel MUCH better!

2 Weeks Post-Op - No discharge normal??

I am 6 weeks post-op and had very little discharge. At my post-op appointment I asked the doc if it was due to his good work on the surgery and he said it was because some women don't bleed as much.

Well, HysterBoo, that makes sense too, I guess. I do remember the day after my surgery, one of the surgeons that assisted came to see me and he said I had only lost less than 1/2 cup blood during the whole procedure. He was very pleased and I was astounded! I couldn't believe that was all I'd lost when it sounded like such a major surgery. Especially since they had sent me home from my pre-op appt. with paperwork on possibilities of needing a blood transfusion during the procedure, etc. I know they have to warn you of all the things that COULD go wrong, but it's a little scary to read all that. No complaints, for sure though, I'm very happy!

2 Weeks Post-Op - No discharge normal??

I had a few days of bleeding after my LAVH and that was it. It was nearly 8 weeks post-op before I saw the stitches and even then it was just a few purple threads after I used the bathroom. I did have a bacterial infection, but even that didn't cause any real discharge, just lots of itching!

I'm almost 5 weeks post-op (where did the time go?). Thus far I've had no discharge. The doc said I may see some blood. I did lose a lot of blood during surgery (fortunately a transfusion wasn't necessary since I had good blood levels). My 6 week checkup is at the end of next week, so we'll see how that goes.

2 Weeks Post-Op - No discharge normal??

It will be 3 weeks tomorrow since I've had my hyst. I almost can't believe it has seemed to go so fast! But then, I can't believe it's Thanksgiving tomorrow (or actually I should say today since it's 1:30 a.m. and I can't sleep ) with Christmas right around the bend either! Anyhoo, I did have some very minor spotting tonight, but only when I wiped, it hasn't been enough to hit my panty liner. It's bright red too. I'm hoping it's not because I've been overdoing it. I haven't been lifting or doing anything physically that I shouldn't do, but I have been staying up long hours, sitting up a lot and riding in the car a lot the last few days. I'm going to do my best to take it easy tomorrow. We're going over to a friend of mine's house for Thanksgiving Dinner (she invited me so I won't have to cook, which I thought was awesome) and then on over to my mother's. They're both just within a few miles of each other, so not a lot of riding involved there. I think I'm going to lay down more rather than sit up like I have been while I'm at Mom's. Well, Happy Thanksgiving to all and I'm so thankful for this site and all you ladies!
