Discharge

My cervix was removed - I only kept my ovaries as they are healthy and my Doctor refuses to remove healthy "organs". Also, I did not want to be in early menopause if I could help it. I do agree with you on the ovulation timing though. I would try to watch for discharge and wait for the 24 hour migraine to start. Those were my signs that I would be starting my period soon.

In my situation my periods were 2 weeks of heavy bleeding, 2-3 days of light bleeding and then it would start up again with another 4-5 days of heavy bleeding. It came to a point where I could never time when my period would start as it seemed like I was always bleeding. Wearing at least one pad everyday became a way of life - just in case. I remember in the summer doing a presentation to a group of police/fire fighters and I had on a skirt without nylons. It SHOULD have been a worry free day, but in the middle of the presentation I could feel something running down my legs. I was praying it was sweat and didn't want to look down. Finally I did and I had streaks of blood down my bare legs. Thankfully there was a podium and I moved behind that. I was mortified and wanted to cry. That was hysterectomy final decision day!

Went to the doctor today and he did an exam. He told me it has all cleared up and everything is good. The pain on my left side is probably gas or bowel inflammation. Not sure I completely agree but we will see if it gets thicker.
