8 weeks post-op, spotting for first time since week 2

Hi
I had LAVH on 25 th June and apart from first week have had no bleeding/spotting at all. This eve however have started to bleed a tiny bit, was wondering if anyone else experienced this around the 8 week mark? Have rested for first 4 weeks and then had 2 weeks lying on a beach in France so dont feel like I've overdone it! Help!

Re: 8 weeks post-op, spotting for first time since week 2

I only had spotting the 2 nd week. Other than that I had none. My gyn told me spotting and some pain is normal. He did tell me I could have spotting and an increase in discharge from my internal sitiches disolving At 6 weeks I still had them. I had the increase discharge at almost 8 weeks but no spotting. If you bleed heavy or have a lot of pain I would be seen by your doctor. Take care hun

Hi mrsloon ! I just had to "drop by" to say hi & let you know you are not alone in the surprise spotting. Im over 3.5 months out & discovered I was spotting today too. I have not had any for several weeks at least. Is it red, pink, brown? Is it thick or more watery? Im thinking mine is either overdoing it or maybe any remaining stitches pulled or something . Are you having pain? Since you had a vaginal hyst I am assuming you do not have a cervix. Did you just get back from the beach trip (how wonderful that must have been- good for you!!)?
I am going to lay low for tonight & see what tomorrow brings. If you are having heavy bleeding, or a larger amount that is red blood I would call your . If I end up checking in with mine tomorrow I will pass along what he says.
Take care of yourself & maybe a bit tonight- cant hurt, right?
