Fleet Enema Question

Hi everyone. I have learned soooo much from reading other posts on this site and I thought I should ask a question of my own. The doc has given me a fleet enema to use the morning of surgery. My question is, how long after I administer it will it be safe for me to get in the car for a 1/2 hour ride to the hospital. I don't really want to have any accidents on the way in. The instructions are very clearly written out for how to administer and how long to hold it before letting it go, but they say nothing about how long afterwards you'll be sitting on the potty.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Only 6 more days to go!!!!

Fleet Enema Question

I was only "impositioned" for about 45 minutes on the morning of. I was actually told I could do it in the early evening before. I wasn't supposed to have any food or drink after midnight, and my surgery was not until noon. It was fairly quick and painless for me, way easier than I thought it would be. Good luck.

Fleet Enema Question

I had to do one before my lap. It was very unproductive and I wasn't sitting long at all. Your tummy will feel a bit rumbly, at least mine did.
I have to have another one before my hyst. It is no big deal. I would do it at least 2-3 hours before, if not sooner. Depends on what your pre-op instructions are.
I did mine at 6 the evening before my Lap.

good luck!

Fleet Enema Question

I did mine at the hospital after check-in. It worked extremely fast. I also ate lightly the day before: cereal, yogurt for lunch and soup for dinner. I was starving the next day as my surgery wasn't scheduled until 2 (delayed until 4) but was happy I ate lightly.
