TVH: Nervous stomach???

I know there are several stomach virus' going around, but I am wondering if I just might have a nervous stomach. Don't want to be gross but everything seems to want to come out not long after I eat..

Is it normal to do this??? My surgery is Thursday, and I am afraid to take anything for it. I am afraid that it might mess things up when I start doing my bowel cleansing. Has anyone else experienced this??

I'm right there with you! My surgery is this Friday and I've had trouble with nerves...and think that is the reason for tummy issues as well. These boards have been a great resource already for me though. I'm going to try some of the suggestions tonight! That is so funny- I thought I was the only one having these stomach issues. My surgery is Friday and if I am having trouble now I don't know what to expect when I start my prep. I will be thinking of you! Good luck on your surgery.

The pre-op nurse advised to prep Thursday--#1 eating light during the day (it will be really light if I still feel like I do today!), and #2 waiting to finish prep-AFTER I was done running around like crazy trying to finish everything I need to get done before Friday. I've made a list and trying to finish it by Wednesday evening so I can TRY to relax Thursday. I'm so glad I'm not the only one too! Best wishes my new friends--I'll be thinking of you!

It is nice to see that I am not alone with this problem.. I don't mind it if I am at home but however I have to work for the next 2 nights.. Guess I will for warn my co worker lol!!

mine is on wens the 10th of feb and im a nervous wreck my stomache is in knots and all i wanna do is cry right now i am not fine when i am alone i do my best when i am in the company of my husband who wishes he understood what i am going through i dont really have anyone i can talk to about all this either and im just beside myself

Dear Twilight,
I will be thinking of you this week. Just try to breath and relax and lean on your husband and friends for support. They may not know what to say to make you feel better, but just venting your feelings tends to help.
I will probably be feeling this way later in the week. My DH works out of town during the week and won't be home until the night before mine. I am trying to stay busy and rely on the supporting sisters here.

I'm with all you girls. My TVH w/ bladder "inspection" is Wed 10. I was doing ok until last week. and now that it's even closer----- I'm not sleeping and just plain nervous. Not so much about the surgery itself- it's the afterwards that is bothering me.

We WILL have a wonderful week ladies, it will be wonderful cause we have each other and we are in the home strech to getting on the other side!!!!

You aren't alone at all. I too have no one else to talk to besides my husband and he doesn't have any idea....he does try to listen though i feel like I'm talking to my puppy--I get that same blank stare almost!LOL Thank goodness I found this site and all these great women who are sharing their experiences! We will all be ok and next week at this time can all meet up in the postop part to say how great we are doing! I'll be thinking of you all!

I am so happy that I am not alone in this! I am also so thankful that I found this website so that we can talk about the things we are feeling that NO ONE else understands.
