Swelly-Belly different in LAVH?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there's a difference when it comes to Swelly-Belly,does it depend on what kind of hystrectomy one has? TAH ? or LAVH?

I don't think it matters what method of surgery was used; but, what was actually done inside. Although, I did have a nicked bladder repaired and 5 days later another surgery to have a stent put in one of my ureters and I only had minimal swelly belly for about 3 weeks! Since then, I really haven't had anything. Been wearing my tight <oops! do not attempt to override the censor, please!> jeans since then with no problem! Other sisters report being swollen for months. Who knows, we are all so very different aren't we? I hope you're one of the lucky ones and don't swell for long!! LOL

Mine didn't swell!

I had what I called jelly belly! I do not remember it swelling after increased activity as many do with swelly belly. Instead, I just had a jelly belly until all the gases and depleted from my system. Hope this helps! We are all unique individuals so we all have unique experiences!
