LSH Incision Scar itching....Best Cream?

I am 3 1/2 weeks PO from my LSH & my navel incision scar has started to itch TERRIBLY!!! What is the best thing to use when the incision scar starts to itch?

If there's no scab, you can massage some unscented lotion into it. That should help with scar reduction, too. It's most likely itching because it's dry.

I used hydrocortizone cream all around the incision but not actually on it. It worked really well. I had a raised red rash that itched like crazy from the glue.

Thanks for the advice. Someone told me to try Vitiamin E stick as well....I'll give these a try & see what works best for me! Thanks again

My husband picked up a bottle of Vitamin E oil, which as soon as the tape covering the incisions came off, I began carefully dabbing on with a smooth "cotton ball" round (not a regular cotton ball, since the strings can come off so easily of those things).

I made sure to dab ever incision, twice a day, and they never itched me.

Now if only I could figure out some way to make them just you know, disappear from sight.
