Surgery is MONDAY :)
Hi all,
Thought I would send 1 more post on the Pre-Op side before I head to the castle Monday morning... How do I feel you ask???? Like I am losing my mind!!! LOL!! I am confused! Happy! Scared! Nervous! Excited! Thought about just cancelling the whole darn thing! Thought this day would never come! oh my goodness make it stop! Haven't packed my bag yet! my girlfriend keeps asking me when i am going to do that--My only answer is after I go pray tomorrow at church! I must go spend some good quality time with GOD! Maybe then I will feel better huh?? This waiting really stinks!!! Had my girlfriend and her husband over as a appreciation dinner tonight on their behave--they will be a huge help in the coming wks. as they will be keeping our kids from time to time--lots of times I am sure. And possibly even me at times--just so hubby gets a break!! I plan on tomorrow on getting some flowers and a huge Thank You card and when we are getting ready to pull out of the drive way--I will run back into the house and make sure it is sitting on the Dining Room table for my husband--He has been so good to me through this whole process! And will continue to be, I know... He didn't have to say much the other day when I spoke to the nurse at the Dr.'s office, but once I got off the phone, I took one look at him and knew he was more frightened than I had ever seen... I feel so bad for him. He thought it was going to be like a routine c-section (him and his ex-wife have been down that road). When the nurse started saying "No-No! No-No! Its not like that at all!" It gave him a big scare. Because I think all this time that is what he was thinking... He is already treating me like a princess. He promised me a brand new computer set up in my "Recovery Room" at home with a wireless keyboard & mouse he wanted to make sure I could get back into talking to my Sisters here!! I also wanted to thank everyone here for all your support! I love the chat room--sure wish it was open later and longer-mostly longer (Hint-Hint)LOL!! The support that is offered in that room is wonderful! Thank you all for listening to me cry at night time about my pain--and the dr.'s not doing anythng--thank you all for everything you do--thank you for caring--it means the world to me! I don't know how I could have gotten this far and still had my sanity without all of you!!! I never thought I would make it to the other side of the fence. Now you get stuck with me going through menopause LOL!!!!! I can not take any HRT's, for a min of 3-6 months, due to the severity of my Endo... Hot Flashes here I come!! It simply can't be any worse than how I have been living for 13 yrs! Thank you all again for everything!! and I will see you all on the other side--please know that *Everyday* I pray for all the Sister's here!!
Please come Monday--Keep me in your prayers...
Arriving @ Castle 7:30 a.m. surgery @ 9:30 a.m.
Take care & God Bless you all...

I am off to the castle on Monday morning also. Like you, pacing and going crazy! I will be thinking about you, and all my fellow LIWs who will be princesses very soon! And I say thanks to all those on this site who have gone thru the castle experience before us, and who have shared their stories with us! I know that it has made my road easier! I feel MUCH more prepared than I would have been had I not found this wonderful group of women!
AngelLady2002, see you post op!

monday surgery
I too am having my surgery on Monday...and am very nervous. I am having TAH. I have complex hyperplasia with atypia which my doctor told me is precancerous cells. For me the surgery will not come as a relief because other than irregular periods I have not really had any pain or symptoms. I am really scared....about the surgery...the recovery...the pain...I'm trying not to be a wimp I really am but its hard not to worry. I try not to let on to anyone that I'm worried. I'm worried about the bowel prep. I am usually very regular with my bm's but murphy's law and all I have not had a bm in three days. So now I'm worried that when I drink that lovely magnesium citrate today it won't completely empty my bowels....Oh well I think I am rambling...I have really found this site to be helpful and I appreciate everyone who has shared their stories so that we can somewhat know what to expect. I'll be praying for all of you are waiting for surgery. God Bless

Surgery is MONDAY :)
Hi Monday Ladies in Waiting,
Just wanted to pop in and give you s and wish you well.
I know you're nervous, but try to relax. The waiting is the hardest part, so you're almost through the most difficult part of the whole ordeal.
Try to do something relaxing for yourself tonight. Go out to dinner with friends, go see a movie, take a long, hot bubble bath with candles and soft music, in other words, pamper yourselves. You deserve it!
Make sure you stop back by after you get home so you can show off your shiney new crowns!
Best wishes, s, and prayers for tomorrow!
Lisa

Surgery is MONDAY :)
I, too, am having surgery 7/21. I am ready, and wanting to get it all over. I am also having a colonscopy done before they do a TVT, LAVH with A/P repairs. So, today, I am staying VERY CLOSE to the bathroom, hoping that I can get that whole gallon of stuff down.
I want to get this done so I can recupe in time for school to start up.

Wow another one!!
I can't believe how many of us had our surgeries on the same day! really makes me feel like I am not going this alone. Very comforting!!!
I am doing real well today. I go in for suture removal tomorrow and I am looking forward to that, these things are getting snagged on everything.
I hope everyone is doing great. Please let me know how you are all doing since Monday....since we are in this together

surgery last monday
Dear hysterella -
So glad you are doing well. Yes, I also had surgery 7/21 - with LAVH-and ovaries, A/P repair, plus TVT for urethea; plus, I asked and was able to have a colonscopy before they started the surgery. (the Dr. said that I had 1 stop surgery). Anyway, I stayed 1 night, and went home Tues evening. (Better bed and food). Yesterday I had external stitches taken out, and was told that the GYN will see me in a year unless I have problems. I can do most anything I want - the joys of not having a large abdominal cut. I see the urologist soon for follow up and then back to work. I feel great - Carol

Wonderful!!!! So glad you are feeling so good. I had my stitches (2) taken out yesterday as well. My doc took some pictures while he was in there and let me bring them home! I felt as proud as if it had been a sonogram! He told me he found a hernia in there too that he had fixed. Never had any indication that I had one, but after thinking about it, guess it was not all gas afterall
I am a little achy today, for some reason. I think its because I have really been doing more up and down and bending since the stiches came out. i actually had to resort to some Aleve. Guess this is my bodies way of telling me to slow it a bit.
Overall, though, I am feeling so optimistic about this. My doc said something that really drove home hw much this is going to chang my life...he said "All this discomfort and all this minor pain...will all go away in time. There IS and end to it.' I was stupified. I cannot imagine what life it going to be like without the constant pain. After 17 years of it....I just don't know!!! I am so excited though. I feel like I am going to have a new lease on life! After he said that I felt so much relief and gratitude to him for standing by me and understanding all this. He gave me a big hug and told me that he will see me in 6 weeks for a follow-up and so he can see my new big smile! he is a great doctor!
Well I hope all are wonderful! Take care! and I will log in soon for another update.
TQ aka Hysterella
