How soon did you return to work?

I got my fmla forms completed and wondered when some of you went back to work. My dr. is recommending 2-4wks required recovery at home after my TLH surgery and then I should be back at work. I plan to take the entire 4wks.

I had TAH..dr told me 4-6 weeks..filled out my fmla for 6...and I plan to take it all.

I am planning on 2weeks. I work for myself and don't get paid if I don't work.

I was told 4-6 weeks for a lavh and I took the whole 6 and it was still REALLY hard that first week back to work. I had no complications.

I took 2 1/2 weeks and feel great.

I took 8 weeks and returned to my desk job part time. It was very difficult.
I suggest plan on taking the whole time off, you can always return early if you're feeling well, but it's harder to ask for more time once you're off.

My doctor wrote me for six weeks. I couldn't return to work early if I wanted to because of our contract at work. I'm lucky that I don't have to worry about any of the financial aspects of being off work.

I just returned to work this Monday. Today is my sixth week anniversary. I have to say...it has been very hard to sit at my desk. I think one more week would have been a very good idea.
