The longer I wait, the more anxious I become!

My GYN and I had hoped to get this hyster done ASAP since I'm an educator and summer break had begun. I had a failed ablation and my menstrual cycles are wreaking havoc on my Crohn's disease. However, everything has to be cleared by my GI, my rheumy, and my primary. Because I am on immunosuppressant injections and oral steroids, the stars have to be aligned just so and the surgery has been put off for a few weeks. I have gone from looking forward to being free of the painful cycles to becoming increasingly apprehensive. I'm actually a bit scared! How can I settle my nerves?

Is wine allowed?

Seriously - I know from a friend that Crohn's is so very difficult. Discuss your concerns with your doctor to see if perhaps they can find a route to help you get where you need to be faster, and, at the very least, maybe they can offer suggestions. I was a little anxious and I invested in a 2 hour massage - that works pretty well too. Best of luck!
