Doing amazingly well after TAH

I'm day 11 post-op and feel great. MY doctor sent me home with a drainage tube to make sure I wouldn't get an infection. He removed it last Monday and it is healing nicely. I keep reading so much about waking up in pain after surgery. I had already had my morphine when I became aware of being awake. Sounds like some doctors don't prepare their patients very well. It should not happen. I am going to try and not focus on my husband's skin cancer. They called today and said they didn't get it all. Gotta be strong for him now. Thanks for listening.
