Low rise jeans, never again?

I am 13 months from a TAH I have started wearing my low rise jeans and my strecthiehowever after a few hours I still feel uncomfortable with pressure on my scar. I'm surprised that I still am without feeling in some spots. Will that ever come back? How long? And will I ever feel comfortable in fitted jeans again?

Re: Low rise jeans, never again?

Oh no! I refuse to give up my low-rise jeans! I'll take some discomfort lol Funny though that I caught this post just now: I'm about to take a shower and I planned to try on my favorite jeans. I don't intend to wear them yet (being merely 10 days post-op), I only wanna see how they fit, to determine how much swelling I still have. I look just about normal again, I think.

Re: Low rise jeans, never again?

My friend is 4 years post TAH and says she rarely wears jeans now as just doesn't feel quite comfortable in them, her incision is still tender (she had a lot of adhesions) ... hmmm, well I have just bought some jeans in a larger size and feel perfectly fine in them - can't fit in my older jeans due to swelling and I've put some weight on... January will be dieting and fitness month and you never know!!!

I had my appendix out 5 years ago and still have no feeling around the scar so I don't know some times that scar still hurts stings and feels funny but I'm 10 days post op TAH and wearing my low rise jeans....

As I said I would, I tried on my favorite jeans after my shower this afternoon. Crazy, but they fit even better today than they did before the surgery! HOWEVER, my surgery was done with the davinci robot. I'm sure that makes a difference when it comes to scars and swelling, as opposed to a full abdominal incision.
