7 months post-op and worried about sex

I regret that i had this procedure. I am 7 months now n doctor told me today that my cuff healed ok. I want to have sex but i am very scared. I feel alot better after surgery but the only thing i regret is the cuff. The doctor informed me that nothing of my sex life willchange but reading some of what people go through scares the heck out of me. I wish i knew about this website prior to my surgery or i should have done more research about vagina cuff. :-( maybe im more nervous of my DH size. This is to nerve wreckin for me n sometime i feel depress about it. :-(

Hi Loveone70, Why are you scared? I know you've probably read stories here about vaginal cuffs breaking during sex, but most of the time that happens when women are early post op and are still healing. Often, but not always, it happens when women have sex before they are cleared to do so by their doctor. I have a vaginal cuff, and I have had no problems with sex. No bleeding, no pain, nothing. Sure it was a little tender back at 2 months post op, but by the time I was 3 months post-op sex was great. Most of the time the vaginal cuff causes no problem. Certainly it can, but even if you kept your cervix, there would be risks involved as well. Perhaps you should discuss your worries with your doctor again, and that would ease you mind. You could also try going very slow with DH, making sure that you are always in control, and he knows that stop means right this minute. I hope you find a solution.

I cant even tell a difference. I am still moist and smell great and cant reach the top sorry if tmi. Relations are better and o lasts longer. I still have drive. Its better because no cramps or bleeding. Sorry you are going thru this and best wishes. I hope you can find answers.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I tore my cuff exactly 8 weeks post op. Yesterday during a BM I am sure I did it again. Dr wasn't able to see me because she does surgery on Wednesday. I have appt tomorrow. It can happen easily. I to regret not getting more information about the robotic surgery. I've just had my first post op encounter 8wks, and as scared and preoccupied I was about everything than could go wrong I almost missed out on everything that was actually going right!! I did however notice there wasn't the familiar bumping of my cervix feeling, seemed he was almost looking for it, but it no longer there! Lol So glad to have my mind to body connection back. I have a cuff and can say that sex is tons better now with my cervix gone. Most often you will read about negative experiences on forums but there are many of us who have cuffs and have had no issues at all. My DH doesn't notice a difference. I can now enjoy full penetration and my orgasms are longer lasting.
