Hysterectomy Tomorrow 12/12- Question help!

Hello my name jen and having hysterectomy tomorrow at 7am. Removal of very large uterine fibroid and uterus, keeping ovaries and cervix is up to me!! I don't know if i should opt to have removed not, any info this the pros and cons would very appreciated. I'm.46 years old. Thank you!!

I kept both my cervix and ovaries. My doctor is one of those who'd rather leave healthy parts, and I'm of the same mindset.

Keeping the cervix I had no vaginal cuff to deal with, and I was released by my doctor at 4 weeks - able to bathe, take a dip in the pool and start resuming activities (gradually) sooner. I'd had normal pap smears for decades and have no personal or family history of cervical cancer. There are definite health benefits to keeping your ovaries, even in menopause, because we continue getting hormones from them. Like with my cervix, I didn't have any family history of ovarian cancer.
