Confussed/ in more ways than one!

My surgery was on 11/7.. I don't take pain med.... I have a pretty high pain tolerance and haven't needed them but for the first week. My doctors visits went really good and somehow made me feel a lot better. My problem is that I am pretty anemic and that answers pretty much all of my questions. I got great reports from both docs and go back in 3 more weeks. I am still not suppose to be doing anything much - just resting and letting my body heal. Thank you all for your support.

Confussed/ in more ways than one!

I hemorrhaged during surgery as well. I don't feel sick, but I don't feel like doing anything either. I'm 5 weeks post-op and I am still spending a lot of time in pyjamas. Just making something to eat is sometimes just not worth the hassle. I keep telling myself that I am healing and getting better, but then I get mad at myself because I haven't had a shower in 3 days. I live alone so I have to get off my butt every once in a while, but I just don't have the energy. It is getting better. Last week was a bit of a "pity party" but I am getting there. It does take time to get your iron levels back up.

I'm taking an iron supplement and having a steak every couple of days. Seems to be working. Cashews also have a lot of iron so I have taken to snacking on them as well. Even Froot Loops have extra iron in them. You might have to fight the kids for them, but in this case, they might leave you some.

Hope you are feeling better soon, and have a steak.
