Pain over left ovary and down leg

I am 3 weeks post total vaginal hysterectomy and have continuous pain on left side ovary that radiates around back and down left thigh in back. Called Drs office today and will be having an ultrasound Wed. Is the worry of blood clots gone by now? Taking ibuprofin and Tramadol regularly with no relief. Anyone else have this?

Re: Pain over left ovary and down leg

I had my hysterectomy two days after you and my pain is on my right leg. My doctor explained that the numbness I feel on the outside and the pain on the inside is due to the fact that during the 4 hour surgery, I had my leg raised in a stirrup type device for ease of delivering the organs vaginally. The doctor said it could go away in a week to six weeks. I too am having pain but because I was on narcotics for so long pre-surgery, my pain threshold is a lot different so unfortunately, I am still taking oxycodone but that is not working any longer. I hope all goes well for your ultrasound.
