Lower back pain

Ok, I had back surgery about 15 yrs ago. Had a disk removed. It all went really well. Never really had any problems from it. Doctor, Hubby & I have desided it's time for me to have my hysterecotomy done. Becouse of problems with flowing amounts & for so long each time. My question is I started having lower back pains that travel around thru my hips and into the lower adominal area. Is it in my head, scared or is this normal? Told my hubby today I feel like I'm loosing my mind.

Re: Lower back pain

No, you are definitely not losing your mind.

I am thinking that your 'monthly problems' could have been related to your 'disk'. Chiropractors will tell you that the alignment of your 'disks' affects many parts of your body. If you look up our 'Central Nervous System' in an Anatomy & Physiology textbook, you will find that each section of our spine links directly to a part of our body organ/function.

You really want to communicate those problems with your health provider/surgeon/gynecologist. They will give you a physical exam and run tests to see what had caused your lower back pain and fix it. They might decide to wait and see if hysterectomy cures the problems first. Please pick up the phone and call your doctor/nurse practioner first thing Monday morning.

Re: Lower back pain

Do you know if you have adenomyosis? I do and have such a sense of pressure and severe lower back pain that it feels like back labor and it's time to push. For years before I had a diagnosis I thought it was arthritis pain in my hips. It's gotten much worse over the years but that's how it felt in the beginning. It might be worth asking about. It also causes heavy and irregular bleeding.

Re: Lower back pain

I have talk to my doctor about the lower back pains. He said in his exam that my lining was fine. But that things could be different when they get inside.
