Lavh will I wake up with vaginal packing?

Hi all as title suggest I was wondering if I will wake up with packing I did when I had my ablation and it was the most painful thing!!

I had to buzz the nurse thinking I really had to poo then she told me what it was and I had to wait in serious pain over an hour before she removed it

So that scares me

I had no packing. Ask your Dr if you should expect any, it may vary by Dr and/or situation. But nobody mentioned it to me and I had none.

It does vary and I had it after my LAVH. I was fortunate not to feel any pain from it but it sure felt gross when they removed it!

I had a LAVH and I did not have any packing.

my surgery was on the 7th.. and i had no packing as well.. good luck!

I had packing, it was no big deal for me. Heavy pain meds might have helped. No pain removing, just felt like removing a tampon that went on for awhile. Nothing like I worried about from the boards.

thanks for the replies everyone, there was no pain removing was a great relief it was just the pressure whilst it was in there that made me feel like I had terrible cramps and was going to have gastro type pain but really bad ( could be made worse as since i have had my gall bladder out I cant hold the need to go to the toilet)
