Hysterectomy: August 29th, 2005

Surgery Type: TAH

Ovaries: Removed both

Period question

Hi!

I have been scheduled to have a full abdominal hysterectomy on August 29.

If the cancer did not spread to the ovaries my doctor wants to me to keep them.

Will I still have a monthly period after the hysterectomy?

I hope not

I am happy to tell you, nope!! If you keep your cervix you may have a mini period.
