Re: Help im freaking out

Thank you everyone for your great advice and comforting words. I was so afraid I was alone. My man is great and very supportive. But he is still a man. At least he's trying to learn all he can about what im going through. But he will never really know. Im so glad I found this site and my new sisters. Thank you agin,

Crystal

Re: Help im freaking out

I'd like to echo that sentiment. Surgery early tomorrow and I'm actually coping quite well.
I found a wealth of useful information here (never had surgery before of any kind!) and plenty of reassurance. And my Chillow Plus and Grabber arrived in the mail yesterday!

While clearly I'm not in for a fun time these next few weeks, I have some hope that it might not be as bad as it seems now.

Thank you, all

Re: Help im freaking out

I agree, keep busy is the way I have been going as lady in waiting. The past three weeks, I have cleaned out cabinets, and closets. I have 24 meals in my freezer, plus fish sticks, and ice cream, peanut butter and jelly is always around. 36 cups of fruit in the fridge along with water and yogurt. Chair in the shower, special pillow made to hold on my tummy. extra pillows in the "throne" for sitting and laying on in front of the TV when I come home. Four books and magazines to read on a table within reach of the telephone and remote. People's names and numbers next to the phone to take the trash out, do laundry, pick up mail and to go on walks with me. Granny panties, larger shorts and pants and a reacher are ready. I even have laid in a supply of advil, and stool softer pills. Spray bottle in the bathroom, wet wipes for cleaning an bird baths if I don't feel like a shower too,

Cleaning the dust bunnies and cobwebs even the baseboards this weekend and packing for the castle. Everyone has been so helpful with suggestions.

What am I forgetting? I too am stressing out that I have forgotten something!

Re: Help im freaking out

To be honest, it was as time for recovery and I time I really didnt think I could sit still long enough for. BUT I SOON FOUND I actually loved the days of being papmered by my DD or my DS or myself! The house work will always be there, the dishes can always be washed later, you dont need to be the one to do them. If you let them do the house and cooking, just think, it may not be up to your standard, but its a chance to heal at the same time earn some respect as your DD (the man) sees its not so easy!! lol...I think I did stay in bed a good 2 weeks before I even went downstairs!! I SURE MISS those relaxing days, Cant seem them happening again LOL.. enjoy them!
