Pain Question
I am scheduled for a LSH in a few weeks but am thinking about asking to have the cervix removed as well. Can anyone comment on the pain from the cervix being removed? I am not really worried about the pain from the uterus being removed, that should be manageable (I hope).

Pain Question
I had a TVH just last Wednesday (uterus and cervix removed) - and not feeling much pain at all. Haven't been on anything other than Advil since Thursday afternoon.

Pain Question
Had my LSH/BSO last Monday, hardly any pain at all, just some pressure in the belly and a little discomfort at the surgical sites, but they did leave my cervix as there was really no reason to remove it.

Pain Question
Hi - had TAH/BSO 3 months ago - only pain was from surgical site - I managed all pain with just Advil and Tylenol. Felt nothing related to the cervix being gone. Had some discomfort the first few days going to the bathroom but since then all has gone well. While we all heal differently it is reassuring to hear good stuff - I'm sure your recovery will go fine - just take it very easy and listen to your body.
Good luck to you - all the best!
Tracy

Pain Question
Had the whole works out and no cervical pain whatsoever. Just regular discomfort around incision sites. I doesn't feel as anything has changed 'up there'.

Pain Question
Thanks to everyone for the replies. Had pre-op appointment and the nurse was a total witch, so it is good to have some reassurance at this point.
