Celebrating the end of one stage in my journey, children are mentioned.

Tonight I am going to have a quiet drink (strawberry liqueur) & celebrate my beautiful uterus.

We've been on quite a journey together & now it's time for her to be at peace & for me to move on alone.

I am so grateful for the experiences that I've had. We have two beautiful children that I always knew that we were incredibly lucky to have but only now am I beginning to understand just how lucky we truly are.

This journey has been challenging & confronting but I know that I am a better person for it. On Monday my life changes for ever but definitely for the better. I go into this surgery comfortable in the knowledge that this is the right time, the right surgeon & the right surgery for me. I am so looking forward to life after this but have no regrets about the life that I've had leading up to this.

To all of you on this journey with me & along with me, tonight I will drink a quiet toast to us all & these amazing journeys that we are all on.

Thank you for allowing me to post this & for taking the time to read it.

Regards,

Lisa in beautiful Australia.

Hi Lisa

It is so good to be where you are now, knowing that you are doing the right thing. So many sisters have doubts and it doesn't make the road to surgery too easy.

Wishing you the best for Monday and beyond

I am with you completely. I realize now what miracles my kids were.

Here's a toast to our 'beautiful uteruses' sticking it out as long as they did!

Good luck Monday!

Taurene,
It's like you looked into my heart and said what I have been feeling. You brought tears to my eyes. I'll be a day behind you as I go in on Tuesday so we will heal together. I have 2 beautiful children as well and I look at them everyday and thank the good Lord for giving them to me. Now it's time to put the uterus to rest and move on with my life...... pain free. I don't have attachments to my Uterus and Ovaries and think I am losing my womanhood because I believe my womanhood is in my mind. I am completely comfortable with the fact that I am having a hysterectomy. I know a wonderful and happy life is ahead of me.

We had a beautiful sunset here this evening.....hope your sunrise was just as beautiful there.
